From deep within the Canadian Arctic surfaced one of the most animated characters of today's
poker youth. "Yukon Brad" Booth is known for crippling poker's elite internet players, raking in
millions and then carting the best of it to Bobby's Room at the Bellagio. There he lived in the lap
of luxury playing poker virtually every day for 18 months.
Brad made a splash during Season 3 of GSN's High Stakes Poker when he carted a knapsack stuffed
with $1 million in cash to the set and pulled off a bluff with 4 high against Phil Ivey that has to
be seen to be believed.
Since then he's made regular appearances on HSP, NBC's Poker After Dark and National Heads Up
Championship, while continuing his tour of the live circuit.
Brad invited us to his suite at South Point during this season's Poker After Dark tapings and
imparted some serious insight into online poker strategies. His DVD segment includes tips for
choosing the right room, identifying online tells, and what he's doing on his quest for balance in
poker.
"If this is your livelihood you want to take it seriously. So it's really important that you come
in with the right mindset to sort of clock in and clock out like you would any other job."
"I'm just sick of being up a Ferrari, losing a Ferrari, I'm just looking for a little bit of
balance in my life." –Brad Booth
